From Scrappy to Strategic: A Rebrand That Feels Like Her

If you’re a female consultant or service-based business owner in Philadelphia—or anywhere— trying to level up your brand, this story is for you. HRnB Consulting, a Philadelphia-based HR and People Ops strategy firm, came to me with a challenge I see often: a thriving business built on referrals, but a “scrappy” brand and website that didn’t reflect the founder’s expertise.

As a branding and Squarespace web designer specializing in female founder branding, personal brand design, and brand strategy for women entrepreneurs, my goal was to give HRnB Consulting a visual identity and website that worked as hard as she does—both locally and beyond.

The Challenge: A Brand That Didn’t Match the Business

When Talia, founder of HRnB Consulting, first reached out, she described her brand as “scrappy.” Her HR and People Ops consulting business had grown steadily by word of mouth, but her online presence didn’t match the level of expertise, professionalism, and warmth she delivered to clients.

“People would come to the site and say, ‘This is you?’ I didn’t feel like it represented me at all.” – Talia, Founder of HRnB

Like many women running values-aligned businesses, Talia had built something powerful—but her visuals and messaging hadn’t caught up. She needed a brand identity and website that reflected her true value, attracted the right clients, and eliminated confusion about what she offers.

The Creative Solution: A Brand + Website That Reflects Her Vision

My role was to transform Talia’s brand from a patchwork of DIY efforts into something cohesive, strategic, and unmistakably her.

We kicked things off with a brand strategy questionnaire where we uncovered:

  • Her core values and who she most wanted to work with

  • The emotions she wanted clients to feel when working with her

  • The unique qualities and expertise that set her apart in the consulting space

“You asked questions that helped me clarify things I didn’t even realize I was unclear about. It felt like therapy in the best way.” – Talia

With strategy in place, we moved into visual identity and Squarespace website design, ensuring every decision was intentional—supporting clarity, connection, and conversion.

The Brand & Website at a Glance

What we created:

  • Custom color palette & typography system that feels bold, approachable, and modern

  • Refined brand logo and visual elements blending professionalism with warmth

  • Fully responsive Squarespace website designed for easy navigation and service clarity

  • Website copywriting guidance to simplify her offers and speak directly to her ideal audience

  • SEO-friendly structure to help more aligned clients discover her online, including local Philadelphia business keywords for better geographic search visibility

“Now people actually understand what I do. They get it. I’ve had so many people compliment the site and say how me it feels.” – Talia

“It’s easier for people to take that first step. I don’t have to explain myself as much anymore.”

Results: Clarity, Confidence, and Connection

With her new brand and website, Talia can now:

  • Confidently share her site knowing it reflects her values and personality

  • Attract more aligned clients who already understand her offers before the first call

  • Spend less time explaining her work and more time doing it

Her rebrand isn’t just a visual upgrade—it’s a business tool that supports her growth, streamlines client onboarding, and creates a lasting first impression.
